2026 City of Burlington Survey
The City of Burlington invites your participation in a survey designed to gather resident input and feedback for planBTV 2050. PlanBTV 2050 is a collaborative, city-wide effort to shape Burlington’s future. For the first time, the Office of City Planning, the Department of Public Works, Burlington Parks, Recreation & Waterfront, and the Community and Economic Development Office, together with the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission, are coming together to create one comprehensive vision for the city. The information you provide in this survey will be used to improve existing programs and services and help determine long-range planning and investment decisions.
We greatly appreciate your time. This survey will take you approximately 15-20 minutes to complete, and every question is important to the future of our city. For your convenience, the enclosed paper survey includes a postage-paid envelope that you can use to return the document to ETC Institute, the survey research firm conducting this survey.
ETC Institute is one of the nation’s leading local government research firms. It is important to note your individual survey responses will remain confidential. The overall survey results will be available on the City website. If you fully complete this survey, you may opt-in for a chance to win one of two $250 prepaid Visa gift cards. Each respondent will have roughly a 1 in 200 chance of winning.
Thank you for taking time out of your schedule for this survey. Your response will help us understand the needs of our community, and it will influence numerous decisions about the future of Burlington. Please feel free to contact Ryan Murray, Director of Community Research, at 913-254-4598 or email him at ryan.murray@etcinstitute.com if you have any questions or require additional assistance.
